Built with timeless simplicity in mind but making no sacrifice regarding dependability, materials and effectiveness, the Backpacker hails back to Chris Reeve's earlier fixed-blade knife designs with updated materials.

The Reeve Backpacker is an 8.527" long fixed blade drop point knife with a 4.019" blade. The CPM MagnaCut blade stock is honed to a razor-sharp edge from .135" thick high alloy stainless steel, made in the USA by Crucible. With a Rockwell hardness of around 63-64, this vanadium-rich steel is incredibly tough, rust-resistant even in humid environments and holds an edge. The drop point blade shape has a stonewashed finish to hide scratches and keep it looking good for your next adventure.

The CRK Backpacker is a lean cutting tool with a skeletonized full tang covered in natural canvas micarta scales, the balance is exceptional in your hand. Remove the micarta scales for cleaning or to reduce weight without sacrificing your grip. The canvas micarta provides the user with both impact resistance yet is grippy conditions in wet environments. (When the canvas micarta is wet or oily it gets darker, when it is dry it is a lighter color.) The handle is ergonomically 3D machined for a positive and comfortable grip. This knife comes with a Kydex sheath and a paracord lanyard. For a fixed-blade knife, the Backpacker could easily function as an everyday carry, or slip it into its Kydex sheath and hit the trail. It will be there whenever you need it.

Ideal for work around the campsite or as a backpacking/hunter's/skinning or survival knife, the simplicity of the design fits nicely in your hand while doing both precision cuts and putting it through its paces, cut after cut. A lanyard hole allows for added protection from dropping it in the woods or for use with a paracord for other bushcraft purposes.
