Chris Reeve Carbon Fiber Small Inkosi - Drop Point (One Per Household)
Chris Reeve Carbon Fiber Small Inkosi - Drop Point (One Per Household)
One per household please.
The Chris Reeve Small Inkosi is an everyday carry folding knife with a blade length of 2.75 inches that has many of the features of the Large Inkosi. Designed to further push the qualities and advantages of the Integral Lock system, the Inkosi is a new family of folding knives from Chris Reeve that will claim the "chief" position alongside the iconic Sebenza. Inkosi is the Zulu word for Chief, which is appropriate for a knife of this caliber. The carbon fiber Inkosi knife is made with production-level precision and handmade care at their Boise, Idaho facilities and is only available at KnifeArt.
This Inkosi folding knife has a closed size of 3.75 inches and a weight of 2.3 oz., giving it a compact size and lightweight for everyday pocket carry. Both traits are ideal for knives in the sub-3-inch blade size range. The CRK Small Inkosi features an all-purpose drop-point blade shape, giving it a strong, controllable point and large cutting edge. The blade has razor-sharp "Large Hollow Grinds", a grind that blends the best of hollow and flat grinds. The blade stock is 8 percent thicker (coming in at .0.128") than the similarly sized Small Sebenza 21, giving it an uncommon strength for this blade length. The CRK team selected American-made CPM MagnaCut steel from Crucible Industries. This fine-grain steel has a scratch-hiding stonewashed finish and is heat-treated to a Rockwell hardness of RC 63-64 for toughness, high edge retention, and improved sharpening ease.
Our exclusive model of the small Inkosi has a weave carbon fiber handle on the front and a full titanium Integral Lock on the locking side. This reduces the weight significantly without compromising on strength. Carbon fiber knives are known for their tremendous strength - and the Carbon Fiber Inkosi is bank vault solid. This is a knife that really needs to be held to be appreciated. It is lighter in the hand than other knives, yet the carbon fiber is incredibly rigid and true. Chris Reeve Knives fully machines and laps the textured carbon fiber scales to make sure the tolerances are up to their high standards and provides an excellent grip. The carbon fiber knife weave is also aesthetically pleasing and will catch the eye of admirers.
The Chris Reeve Inkosi has oversized phosphor bronze washer bushings that are sized identically on both the lock and handle size. This pivot construction with a stout coupling brings additional stability to the blade and allows the washers to hold lubricant to reduce opening friction. This knife has a 1/8-inch ceramic ball that acts as the interface between the lock bar and the blade. It also drops into the detent when closed to ensure the blade stays in place. The ceramic lock interface provides the user with a greatly increased lock life. The Chris Reeve Inkosi has a sturdy heat-treated stainless steel stop pin that will handle the rigors of opening and use.
Refined design and precision construction are all part of this American-made pocket knife. The Inkosi folding knife features dual ambidextrous thumb studs, allowing the user to easily open the knife with either hand. The thumb studs are made of blue anodized titanium, providing the accents CRK is known for. The carbon fiber Inkosi comes with a hand-tied black cord lanyard that allows easy removal of the knife from your pocket along with a machined titanium bead. This small Inkosi knife has a blasted titanium pocket clip that is mounted for tip-up carry and angled in a manner that allows the clip to rest on the handle, which keeps pressure off the lock and lock bar.
The Inkosi comes with hex tools for disassembly and cleaning, Loctite, CRK fluorinated grease and a chamois cloth. KnifeArt has a satisfaction guarantee and fast shipping on this exclusive folding knife and Chris Reeve Knives backs it with a lifetime material and craftsmanship warranty. KnifeArt.com is proud to offer and represent Chris Reeve Inkosi as an authorized dealer.
Product Reviews
Beautiful carbon fiber on this compact Inkosi. Same high quality of the Sebenza but in a slightly smaller package and more robust construction. Great Knifeart customer service.

Very impressed with the quality of the knife . Gorgeous carbon fiber , really give very light weight.
Smooth action too. I love it .
Thanks KnifeArt . Wonderful customer service. Happy customer :)
Excellent packaging. Smoothest CRK I own and the carbon fiber makes me forget it’s in my pocket. It bumped my small Sebenza for pocket time in dress clothes and I thought that would never happen. Well done.
The CRK CF small inkosi DP is a very nice sweet quality knife. I already had one of the same model except it was plain. I really like the inkosi much better than the sebenzas. IMO it's smoother and has a more solid feel. I own two large sebbies and two small sebbies. Knife art is a great knife dealer. Very fast service and good communication. This is the second CRK that I have purchased from them and definitely will be more in the future.
Excellent-blade on this Small-Inkosi, literally razor-sharp, the quality of it obvious in hand and with eye. At only 2.7", this blade excels well beyond what the size implies. Ascetically, this small knife is also superb, the carbon fiber on one side of the handle makes it a special piece, and the small notes provided by the blue-thumb-knob adds just a perfect accent...Where the knife is non-remarkable however is the handle size and shape. I have only medium hands and yet this knife handle is a little too small to support (all) the the task's the amazing small blade is capable of. A little longer handle would go a very long way in this regard. At lesser price points I wouldn't even comment on this, but at this price point I want a knife which every design element is "Remarkable", and hence gave it 4 star's rather than 5. Still, I am happy with this purchase and will put this small knife to good use, and considering the CR-Zaann for bigger job's.

perfect every time you use it
You could literally spend hours admiring the aesthetic details of this blade -- the machining is exact, the action like butter, the carbon fiber almost 3D in its effect. I don't know if I could even own a non-CF Sebenza after seeing how it looks. My only complaint: Would it kill CRK to include a leather pouch to protect this beauty?
While it takes a mild effort to open the Inkosi that will likely become easier as it's used, the carbon fiber combined with the Ti make for a sturdy, light, and handsome knife. With the included lanyard and bead, the knife fits my medium + size hand well. It's a great cutter and fits my pocket well. I can't imagine a much better daily care knife.
I love this small CF Inkosi. I've owned a large Seb Tanto 21 and a small Seb CF 21. I sold those to fund other grails but always knew I'd come back to CRK. I'm a white collar and need something subdued. This knife works great. It's lightweight and beautiful. The blade is beefier than my small Seb was and even smoother.
Trust all the reviews. You will not regret buying this knife. KnifeArt ships quickly. This is my second CRK I bought from then and have bought another brand in the past. Shipping is always quick.
I saw the small Inkosi while looking at a Sabenza. I bought the Inkosi instead. It is a wonderful knife. It has made its way into my EDC, kicking out a James Brand and a Kershaw. Strong work by Chris Reeves!
The perfect office EDC. The combination of CF and Ti is really appealing and makes a great knife even better!

This is a perfect daily carry knife, and the workmanship is superb (as you would expect from CR). The lanyard and included sheath make a nice package (I took the clip off mine), and it is quite light. Anything bigger would be too big for my needs. Shipping was extremely fast, and the Knifeart was very helpful when the Post Office had an issue with delivery.

My favorite knife was the Small Inkosi. When Knifeart.com got the carbon fiber version in I HAD to have one. Like all CRK's the fit and finish is perfect, and the new CF looks great. Add to that the custom lanyard and ring, and this is one gorgeous blade. This was my first purchase from knifeart, and it will NOT be my last. The customer service and professionalism are the best in the business. Thanks again guys!
