Daniel Winkler has been designing and crafting frontier-style tools since the mid-1970s. Daniel Winkler and skilled Sayoc Kali martial arts trainer Rafael Kayanan teamed up to design this specialty tomahawk. This compact version of the Sayoc RND front spike has a shorter length coming in at 10 7/8" as opposed to the 13 1/8" of the full-size version. This model comes with a tribal maple handle.

The Winkler Sayoc RND Front Spike Maple Axe is a compact tomahawk weighing in at just under one and a half pounds (1 pound, 6.2 ounces). The 80CrV2 blade is 2.25-inches with a black caswell finish that will eliminate glare and increase protection against rust. The Sayoc has a total head length of 5.5-inches and comes to a sharp point on the opposite end of the blade.

The handle is a high-quality premium maple that brings the total length of the axe of almost 11-inches. The American maple has a tribal decoration and a dark brown stain. It also comes with the classic Winkler tapered tang design giving its user an easier, firm grip and great leverage. To top it all off the Sayoc comes with a custom felt-lined boltaron sheath to help protect the head when not in use. The sheath also comes with a nylon belt hanger for easy transportation.
