This Winkler axe is crafted from 80CRV2 tool steel with a Rockwell hardness of 57, this corrosion-resistant steel is forged with chromium and vanadium alloys that shrug off marring, wear, and are capable of taking a lot of punishment. The black oxide finish reduces glare as well as providing a protective layer from the elements. The 4.75" long head features a deep-bearded, 2.25" long concave bit sharpened to a razor-sharp edge from beefy 1/4" thick blade stock. The hammer-spike at the butt end is designed for breaching doors, breaking vehicle glass, and other tactical uses. The 9" overall length is comprised of the incorporated axe head and skeletonized full-tang, with a gorgeous maple handle pinned to the steel for a sure grip.
